I'm Back!: 50 Facts About Me (Thanks Christine and Jennifer)

I read quite a few blogs on a daily basis. I just never seem to find the time to create an entry in my own. :( I'm hoping that will change. I have yet to figure out how to easily insert pictures from iPhoto. Therefore, this will be a picture-less post. I figured I'd jump on the bandwagon and post 50 Facts About Me. Who can't write about themselves, right?! So here goes. I'm hoping this will lure me back in...!

1. I am the second of 4 kids.
2. My brother and sisters are a rock in my life...they always have been.
3. I don't like to show my emotions. I just end up crying. It doesn't matter if I'm sad, angry, happy...it's just tears.
4. I met my husband while working at my Dad's insurance agency. I talked to him on the phone numerous times. Whenever I left the office I told my sister to keep him there till I got back...I REALLY wanted to meet him.
5. He wasn't initially my "type" (he rode a motorcycle...which wasn't my normal), but it didn't take long before I was head over heels!
6. We've been married almost 5 years.
7. We have two great kids. There will be no more. We are happy with Nick and Karly!
8. Both of our children came from casino's in Nevada! TMI?
9. Rob picked out Nicholas' name: Nicholas Vincenzo. No, we're not Greek or Italian!
10. There was a flower shop in Chicago that we often drove by. It was "Karley's". That's where Karly's name came from. Her middle name comes from Rob's cousin, Rose.
11. My favorite food is Mexican...pretty much anything.
12. I grew up in Central FL. We were lucky enough to have our grandparents live in a front house so we've always been close.
13. My Grandma is 87 and she acts like she is younger than me. She is very admirable and inspiring.
14. I moved to Chicago in '03 with Rob. We have since lived in San Ramon, CA, Bellflower, CA, Long Beach, CA, and now Roswell, GA. I love it here, but I really miss the friends I made in CA. It's really hard to make friends when you move all the time....at least it is for me.
15. This is going to be harder than I thought...I'm only on 15!
16. I am quick to notice spelling errors, but I know I'm not the best - especially with punctuation. I suppose I should stop. It just makes me look more stupider! Lol!
17. I do almost all of the yard work...and I truly enjoy it.
18. I take out the garbage.
19. My house is usually a mess. I'd rather work outside than inside.
20. Rob is a very organized and neat person. My clutter irritates him.
21. When I was a teenager I was 100% sure I didn't want kids.
22. I was immature and wrong. :)
23. I hate heat. I hate sweat. I love snow. I love cold. A few words to describe my perfect day: inches of snow, snow falling, 30 degrees, fire in fireplace, blankets, snowmen, snow angels...well, you get the picture.
24. Growing up I always wanted to be a teacher. I love kids.
25. I also love older people. I would happily work in geriatrics. I suppose it's because elderly people are usually more accepting and interested in conversation. They don't care what you're talking about.
26. I hate paying bills.
27. I love getting the mail. I'm like a child looking for a card, letter or package. Unfortunately, it's usually just bills (or one of the way-to-many magazines I subscribe to).
28. Nick still holds my ear. It's like a security blanket. See my "You're Gonna Miss This" post. That'll explain.
29. I am inconsistent. I will start something, but never finish. I am easily distracted by other things. For example, I will start to vacuum, see toys, stop vacuuming, pick up half the toys, see dirty windows, leave the toys, clean the windows....you get the picture!
30. I love Christmas! I hope to make it to FL next year for the holiday.
31. Actually, now that I have room to decorate for any holiday I love them all. Even more, the kids make it so much fun!
32. I don't think I'm that bad of a cook. Rob might say different. When competing with his Mom, she definitely takes the cake.
33. My parents divorced after 30+ years of marriage. I was angry. It's for the best though. They are both happier.
34. Growing up I always thought I had the perfect family. I guess that's just what kids do. (I did have a wonderful childhood, don't get me wrong. I think children just tend to think their family is perfect...nobody is perfect).
35. Sometimes I have too much patience, sometimes I have too little.
36. There are certain people in my life that mean more to me than they'll ever know.
37. I have been skydiving. Twice tandem, 5 times on my own. It gave me such a rush and a burst of confidence. Try it!
38. I'd love to go camping.
39. I had never stayed in a fancy hotel until I met Rob. Not his smartest move...now that's all I want!
40. We used to make our own wine. Well Rob did and I assisted. It was yummy!
41. My dog, Beagues, was my everything until we had kids. I miss her to this day. I hope she's happy! I can't say that I miss the silence though.
42. ....except when Rob is out of town. Then I really miss her. There is a feeling of safety that comes with owning a dog.
43. Rob travels a lot.
44. I am lucky though. I can travel to FL often.
45. I do like to be alone, but often feel guilty about taking the time. So, it's just not worth it.
46. I need to lose some lb.'s.
47. I am a fan of instant gratification. This doesn't happen with diet and exercise. I just want to wake up and weigh 105...is that too much to ask?
48. I am easily frustrated.
49. I'd rather have something salty over something sweet.
50. I really want to live closer to family.
...a couple more...
51. My best friend since fifth grade hasn't changed. Jennifer Lincon, I love you!
52. In the sixth grade Jennifer and I promised that we would be each others Maid-of-Honor's. Yep, we were. We also said that we would have our first child together. Nick was born 6/11 and Macey was born 7/29. We will never change. We are forever. :)

Okay, that wraps it up. I'll have to say that I hope all the bloggie people out there do this. I love reading them!

And, hopefully I'll figure out how to post a few pics of my little ones.
